Harnett County

Harnett County is located in North Carolina’s coastal plain region.  It is located abou 15 miles north of Fort Bragg but encompasses a large area with many small towns within it to include: Lillington, Dunn, Bunn Level, Buies Creek, Angier, Coats and Mamers.  Campbell University is located in Harnett County.  It is conveniently located to Fort Bragg along with Fayetteville, Raleigh and Moore County.  


Current Real Estate Trends  

If you are looking for a small town feeling, it can be found within Harnett County.  This area has seen a lot of growth in the past few years with the growth of Fort Bragg and families wanting to not live on the military post.  That is part of what makes this area so appealing.  Houses tend to be more affordable in this area, and the resale is good.  

As of September 2021, there are 277 houses for sale.  The price of houses is up 28.1% compared to this time last year.  The median home price is $238,000 and the average time a home stays on the market is 28 days.  In the last 3 months, homes have been selling for close to asking price  


Amenities  

Harnett County is a family friendly area that boasts many family friendly activities.  Attractions include the Aloha Zoo, Raven Rock State park, Averasboro Battlefield and Museum, and Keith Hills Golf Club.  Harnett County is close enough to take day trips to many bigger cities that are close by.  

There are 29 schools in Harnett County with 20,600 students.  Many neighborhoods are close to schools and bus routes.  Neighborhoods in Harnett County boast family friendly features and neighborhood amenities as well.
