My husband joined the Air Force right before we got married. We were stationed in Biloxi, MS, and both of my children were born there. I have a son and a daughter who are both grown up, I have been honored with a granddaughter whom I adore.
Our family went to live in England at the RAF Lakenheath AFB for four years. We really loved our tour in England and thought of it as a four year vacation. I can say it was the best four years of our lives.
After RAF Lakenheath, we returned to the states and were stationed at Valdosta GA for about 5 years. Georgia opened a lot of doors for our family. We bought our first house and then I got my real estate license and started a new career. I learned the real estate industry, including the rental market and the new construction market.
After four years in Valdosta, my husband went to live in Korea for a year. After his duty in Korea, we got stationed at Seymour Johnson AFB, from which he retired after 20 years. Our move here was just a bit of a challenge. We moved here with two teenaged children, one dog, two cats and three horses. I also started my career at Houser Associates Real Estate, Inc. since changed to Coldwell Banker Advantage. I worked there for about 3 1/2 years. During that time I became one of the top three selling agents. Then I went out and started my own real estate firm, Seymour Homes Realty, Inc. which I ran for 10 years. I sold my firm in 2015 and rejoined the excellent team at Coldwell Banker Advantage.
I have a great passion for horses and during my real estate career I have been able to purchase my own horses. I currently have three horses, Emma, Virgil, and Chip, two Chihuahua dogs, Peanut Butter and Jellie, two goats, Daisy and Duke, 4 chickens, and three barn cats. I go camping and riding every chance I get. I love my family, real estate, working with people and my animals. Regardless of whether you are looking for new homes, existing homes, or even mini-farms for your animal friends, give me a call.
