Whit Brannon, a local hailing from Chapel Hill, NC, began working in hospitality at the age of eighteen, at local restaurants such as Bonne Soiree and Bin 54. He came to Fearrington House in the spring of 2010 as a member of the wait staff at The Fearrington House Restaurant. In 2013, they achieved the title of Grand Chef from Relais & Chateaux. The Chef, Colin Bedford, became the 21st Grand Chef in North America and 169th worldwide. The team also was one of twenty-nine restaurants in the United States to be named five-star five-diamond by AAA. Beginning January of 2014, he assumed the role of Catering Manager for the property. He ran well-over 100 weddings a year and private functions. In September of 2015, he stepped down from the position, after getting married, to pursue real estate. After spending two years working in commercial, Whit now works in residential with CBA Chapel Hill.
