Cori Grenier was born and raised in Connecticut and relocated to North Carolina roughly 10 years ago with her husband and three daughters. As a current resident of Apex, NC, she has extensive knowledge of the Wake County area and current market trends. She has been an active member of her community and is a proud business owner of House on Hope Design, which focuses on Home Staging and Interior Design Services.

We cannot recommend Cori Grenier and Denise Alala enough. In three short weeks we met them at an open house, hired them as our realtors, bought our forever home, and got under contract with our current home (in four hours and far above asking). This was all while they helped us manage two high energy kids, two dogs, and while we were 3/4 of the way through an attic renovation. During this entire whirl wind, we were swapping pictures of our kids, life stories, and cracking jokes. They aren’t just good realtors, they are good people and we don’t see them as just our realtors, but as family.

I want to buy a second property right away, just so we can work with Cori again! As first-time home buyers, my wife and I entered the real estate scene skeptical and feeling very intimidated. Within six weeks of beginning our search and taking the leap, we found the one, our offer was accepted, closing papers signed, and here is what I will say from our process with Cori... As long as we live in the RDU area, Cori will have all of our business (buying and selling) and every single person that we can send her way. From the moment we met, through her amazing colleague Denise with CBA, she made every effort to make us feel taken care of and educated throughout the process. Every meeting, open house, phone call, you name it, Cori was there with a smile that truly made the experience of buying our first home so special, and I can promise you this will stay true whether it’s your first home or 10th! There is no such thing as a stupid question with Cori, and I can attest having gone into this experience knowing very little. My favorite part of it all was how personal Cori made every step feel, how excited she was to share this journey with us, and her kindness through it all. She gave us time to think over decisions we needed to make, gave us little encouraged pushes when we needed some guidance, made suggestions for potential design choices, and it could not have been a better experience. I found Cori Grenier’s name on a Facebook page in the Spring of 2020, when, after my 33-year marriage ended, and I bought my first home, I decided I needed some decorating help. I had hired interior designers previously, so I thought I knew the drill: I’d invite her into my home, talk about my tastes, and if we were a good fit, we’d choose furniture, paint colors and window treatments. I didn’t realize this at the time, but I was to meet a woman whose dedication to her field, creative capability and keen attention to detail would outweigh my highest expectations. Before I began working with Cori, my house was hodgepodge of decorating disasters: mismatched counter tops and appliances, outdated cabinets and furniture, dated accessories; unfortunately, I hadn’t a shred of creative talent for decorating: I was lost. Lucky for me, Cori is an expert in understanding her client’s preferences even when the client is unsure herself. She very patiently encouraged me to realize and verbalize my sense of style. We began working on just one room in the house, and when Cori’s keen attention to detail, her work ethic and her natural creativity became evident, I secured her services to transform my entire home. The results evidenced her exceptional design sensibility. Yes, this transformation took a fair amount of time, but Cori was thorough and efficient: our many hours of collaboration in person, on the phone, and through technology highlighted her professionalism and respect for my time. Her approachable demeanor and ability to listen attentively made me feel comfortable and valued. As a retired educator, a current nature lover and practicing yogi, I must thank Cori for transforming the house I bought four years ago into a home that reflects my personality and sensibilities. From the sensual, feminine master bedroom and bath, to the moody, yet playful piano room, to the bohemian-styled guest room, my entire home, now, is a beautifully designed, cozy, welcoming space that I’m proud to call my own. And I couldn’t have done it without Cori’s guidance. Equally impressive to me is Cori’s ability to balance home and work life: her busy household consists of her and her husband, three school-aged daughters, Cori’s parents, and a flock of chickens.
