You can’t take the teacher out of the real estate agent.

At least, that’s the case with Leslie Dysinger, who spent 13 years in the classroom teaching math, science and biology before making a career shift to real estate. Hundreds of clients are grateful that she did. And so is Leslie.

I immediately loved the way it made me feel to help educate people on how to buy and sell homes,” says Leslie, an agent on the national award-winning team of Coldwell Banker Advantage in Fayetteville, N.C.

“I also love seeing their faces light up when they find ‘the’ home, and when I tell my sellers we are ‘officially’ closed!”

Leslie grew up in Alabama, graduated from the University of Alabama with a double major in marine science and biology, moved to Fayetteville to teach middle school and met her future husband.

Fast forward to life as an Army spouse and a soccer and dance mom to two kids – and Leslie has first-hand experience of her military clients, especially when it involves frequent moves. The Dysingers have lived in Missouri, Virginia, Washington D.C., North Carolina, Colorado, and then back to North Carolina. “Fayetteville, to be exact,” says Leslie. “We will retire here.”

Leslie works with both home buyers and sellers throughout the Fayetteville area, as well as adjoining counties, including Harnett, Hoke, Lee and Moore counties (including Pinehurst, Southern Pines and Aberdeen). She is well-versed in the finer points of new construction, but also understands investment properties and “fixer-uppers” because of her work with investor clients.

“I want to take the stress from my clients,” she says. “and make them feel that the process was easy, that they understood everything going on. I also enjoy watching buyers change their needs after viewing a few homes. And I love seeing the joy when I get my sellers more money than they thought I could. Doesn’t happen ALL the time, but it is awesome when it does.”

Being involved in the community is important to Leslie, who’s a member of the service-oriented Connections of Cumberland County and Networth of Fayetteville, an organization of women business professionals with a history for providing scholarships to deserving female students.

In her free time, Leslie enjoys watching Alabama football (“Roll Tide!”). She is also a certified scuba diver.

When asked to describe herself in five words, she doesn’t hesitate: loyal, honest, hard-working, stressball, blessed.
